New Construction: Weld Ledge

Today Tom was busy working on a welding job at the University of Wyoming.  UW has experienced an explosion of construction growth in the past year.  Much of the building has to do with the state surplus that Wyoming enjoys from it’s mineral money.  The legislature has seen fit to allow for many upgrades and new construction on the University of Wyoming campus.

Tom has had the opportunity to work on the new “Information Technology” building that is located on the east end of campus.  He and Andrew have been busy welding a ledge that the stone face of the building will be placed on.

The construction site is familiar to Tom.  He spent his late teens and early twentys helping to build many of the homes and buildings found in Laramie.  At that time he worked for Bob Blake and Bob Blake Builders. 

Working several stories up on the face of the “IT Building” can be a challange.
